About Studio Social

Studio Social was created by me, Lauren, from a belief that people need more opportunities to connect, create and spend time together in ways that feel genuinely human.

At a time when AI is becoming an increasingly common creative tool, and hybrid working, busy schedules and digital life are changing how we interact, Studio Social offers something deliberately hands-on: the chance to slow down, pick up a paintbrush and make something alongside other people.

After spending 15 years working in some of the UK’s leading PR agencies, I saw first-hand how valuable it can be to step away from screens, deadlines and the pressure to produce. Alongside my career in communications, I have always returned to art.

Having studied at Cardiff School of Art and Central Saint Martins, I have continued to paint and work as a photographer alongside my communications career. Art has always been central to how I think, process the world and find a sense of escape.

Over the years, I began hosting informal painting sessions for colleagues and agency teams. They were always met with the same reaction: people loved them. They were relaxed, unpretentious and gave everyone an opportunity to connect differently.

Studio Social grew from that simple idea and has since developed into a range of art-led experiences for teams, events and brands. From guided painting sessions and collaborative canvases to creative drop-ins and bespoke brand experiences, each one is designed to make creativity feel accessible, social and enjoyable.

Because sometimes the best way to connect, reset and create a memorable shared experience is simply to sit down, pick up a paintbrush and make something.
