About Studio Social

Studio Social was created by me, Lauren, at a time when AI is fast becoming a creative go-to, and when loneliness, hybrid working and decentralised teams are changing the way people connect across agencies and the wider creative industry.

After spending 15 years working in some of the UK’s top PR agencies, I saw first-hand how much people need space to come together in a more human, relaxed and uplifting way.

Alongside my career in communications, I have always returned to art; a lifelong passion that has shaped both my creativity and perspective. Having studied at Cardiff School of Art and Central Saint Martins, I continue to paint and work as a photographer alongside PR, with art always remaining at the heart of how I think, create and escape.

Over the years, I found myself hosting informal paint sessions within the teams and agencies I worked in, and they were always met with the same reaction: people loved them. They were fun, unpretentious and brought everyone together.

Studio Social grew from that simple idea,  to offer more people the chance to switch off, get creative and enjoy making something side by side. Because team building and company culture does not always have to mean another pub visit, a pizza party or rounders in the park.

Sometimes the best way to connect, reset and get together is to sit down, pick up a paintbrush and make something.
